The Australian Racecourse Managers Association (ARMA), the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) and Evergreen are delighted to announce the promotion of the Evergreen Turf & VRC Spring Internship.
This award is open to two young and enthusiastic racecourse employees for the opportunity to work alongside Liam O’Keeffe, the Racecourse Manager at the VRC in the lead up to and on Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes Day this Spring Carnival.
To be eligible for the award, applicants must be full-time employees of an Australian racetrack and be involved in track-related work. ARMA strongly encourages clubs to nominate a staff member for this award, as the winner will have a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience at one of the greatest racecourses in the Southern Hemisphere. The award will provide an unforgettable experience that will significantly enhance the winner's knowledge of large-scale events and management.
Two winners will be selected; one from interstate and one from Victoria. The successful recipients of the award will receive accommodation at Quest Flemington (adjacent to the racecourse), as well as travel expenses to Melbourne.
Evergreen Turf and the VRC share a deep commitment to nurturing talent and providing unparalleled experiences within the horse racing industry. Through this innovative internship program, they aim to cultivate the next generation of Racecourse Managers while showcasing the magic of spring racing at Flemington Racecourse.
